So Cal here I come!  I guess I'm coming back home but I'm pretty sad about leaving the Bay.  At one point, I couldn't wait to get back because of loneliness, feeling outta place, missing people, hating work, etc... But now that it's time to leave, I wish I didn't have to...

My year in the Bay definitely would have been lifeless without these guys.  Looking back, it was really unusual how our friendships formed so quickly, feels like it's been a few years already.  Can't say with words how thankful I am for their each of their relationships.  They've added so much value to my life.

There were hard times too....(a day I will never forget w/ an old lady!)

I hope that each of our paths cross again. I'm gonna miss them all.  If anyone would like more information on the unmarried persons pictured here, please let me know! =)

So Cal here I come!  Not for good but for a short week.  June 26rd - July 2nd.

Well, I found out today that all my old roomies are dating.  K-A, D-S, A-A, J-H.  (If you don't know, you can try to figure out the initials)  That makes me happy for my friends, but also a little concerned about my own situation.  I am the only one left single!  And being in the bay area does not help.  I hear the ratio of guys:girls is 8:1.  NO WONDER....!  If you know what I mean... (Houkshi?)  I think I need a hobby to hold me over.  Any suggestions?

I started taking classes at the comm. college here in San Mateo but all I do in class is play video games on my laptop.  The teacher is a genius, you can tell, but teachers who are geniuses are always weird, boring and laugh awkwardly at their own jokes.  He has his moments though.  The first week at school, I ran over 1 mama raccoon and 4 baby raccoons going down a hill in my car.  But there was no blood or guts on my tires or bumper, so I hope the damage wasn't bad.  I hope they are all still alive and eating a glorious feast together of.....whatever... raccoons like to eat (?)..... I hope they are doing good!

This weekend, I get to hang out with Edgers at their leadership conference!  I hope I don't feel old...

Anyone need a job??? My company is hiring people for their San Mateo branch.  If you are at all interested in the mortgage/real estate field or just need to make them ends meet, let me know!

I had an interesting day today... I had dinner with some of my co-workers tonight in San Bruno.  Finally, some korean food! (but it wasn't that great)  We feasted on some grade C Chadeol Beggi (the thin meat) and GGar Bee (the 3 bone meat).  It tasted alright but it was pretty getto.

And then while we were looking for the freeway entrance, we stumbled across a casino!  Crazy!  It was called Artichoke Joe's (what a cheesy name I thought to myself).  We decided to check it out expecting a slimy hole of a casino but it actually turned out to be pretty nice inside.  We were just looking around watching poker games when one of my co-workers decided to play some Hold'em.  Me and my other co-worker just sat by and watched him and lived vicariously through him as he played some 3/6 Limit Hold'em.  There were no No-Limit tables at all!  What a shame!  Anyway, we watched as my co-worker Tim lost and won, lost and won.  His last hand though was a MONSTER!  I couldn't believe what happened.  Here's the action...

TIM HAD POCKET ROCKETS! (Thats two Aces in his hand).

The FLOP:  A(h) 5(h) 9(h)  (mind you, all the flush possiblities)

He bets, people raise, blah blah HUGE POT!

The TURN: Q(h)  (another freakin Heart! someone's gotta have a flush)

He checks, people bet, blah blah blah HUGE-er POT and he stays in it.

The RIVER: Q(s) (A FULL HOUSE- A's over Q's on the river!!)

He bets, people bet, he raises blah blah blah GUMUNGOUS POT!

4 People in the HAND!  I couldn't believe it.  People turn over flushes of course, but they crap their pants when they see my co-worker Tim's Full Boat!  JYeaH!  It was awesome!  I nearly peed!

Afterwards, we watched War of the Worlds, which I still have mixed feelings about.  Story was pretty stupid, was thinking the whole time...how is this going to end?  But I enjoyed the action and the suspense.  The ending is kind of a let down though!  (just to warn you, not to give anything away!)

What a night!  DOH! Work tomorrow morning....

Today was my first official day in NorCal.  It was pretty cool!  Went to work and chilled pretty much all day, ate steak for lunch, ate Taco Bell for dinner and went shopping for apt stuff...

I anticipated boredom for the rest of the night but 2 cool norcal'ers (Hana and Tracy) came to my rescue.  We talked and talked, then tried to find a place to get boba but they were all closed and we got kind of lost, then talked some more and I shared some poop stories. It was great! When I think about it, I seriously have some bowel problems.

My first night here was pretty cool.  My bed is the most comfortable bed in the world!  One thing though, it's pretty scary being alone here.  All kinds of weird noises at night!  I heard we have rats too!  Sucks ace! Reminds me of the days at Oxford when we had some crazy battles with rats.

364 days to go...
